Meet Our People

Jen Capper is our Head Receptionist in Northwich.

Jen says "Hello, I'm likely to be the first person you meet when you walk into our Northwich office and together with my able assistant Katie we will look to find the person that you wish to speak to with a minimum of fuss, a smiling face and some true mosshaselhurst efficiency."

Sharron Spruce works closely with the Senior Partner and is responsible for the day to day management of both offices.

Sharon says "Welcome to mosshaselhurst. We have a very busy practice covering two offices in both Northwich and Winsford and my role, assisted my Carole Wilkinson, is all about managing the practice. I can always be contacted for any queries you may have."

Carole Wilkinson is the Accounts Manager for both offices.

Gerard was admitted as a solicitor in 1980. He joined Moss and Haselhurst (as the firm was then known) in 1982. He became a Partner in 1983 and is now the Senior Partner.

Although he has general experience of legal work including Conveyancing and Crime, he now concentrates mainly on:- Personal Injury, County Court and High Court matters, Employment, Liquor Licensing, Property Disputes, Partnership, Debt Collection.

Gerard is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and College of Personal Injury Law at Litigator level, a former member of the Committee of the Chester and North Wales Law Society and past Chairman of the Legal Aid Board No.12 Area Committee (now Funding Review Panel).

Gerard says "As well as my responsibilities as Senior Partner, I head up the Litigation Unit, ably assisted by Tracey Slater. The practice has grown over recent years and we have a burgeoning list of clients. Notwithstanding this we strive to provide excellent customer service coupled with honest feedback. Our mantra is 'Exceeding Expectations' and we aim to achieve this at all times."

Tracey Slater a Litigation Assistant who joined the firm in 1985 manages her own case load under the direct supervision of Gerard Rooney supported by Audrey Millar and Georgina Squires.

Chris joined the firm in August 2003 and became a Partner in March 2004. Chris sits as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates Courts) in the Midlands and is a Police Station and Court Duty Solicitor. He is a member of the Regional Duty Solicitors Committee. Chris has a wealth of experience in Criminal Law and general litigation. He concentrates upon Crime. Chris manages the Winsford office.

Chris says "Together with Will, Sandra and Emma we aim to provide a service in the criminal department that is second to none. My duties as a deputy district judge keep me very busy and as duty solicitor at the police station there are not many aspects of criminal law that we haven't seen."

Will Hurley joined the firm initially as a Paralegal working under the direct supervision of Chris Johnson in the Criminal Department at Winsford office. He has achieved Police Station Accreditation and is now a qualified Solicitor.

Emma joined the firm initially as a secretary in 2004 and became a trainee solicitor in September 2006.

Sandra Bostock a Litigation Executive has over thirty years experience and specialises in Criminal Law. Sandra runs the Crown Court Department from our Winsford Office under the supervision of Chris Johnson.

Joanne Charles joined the firm in July 2005 and became a Partner in May 2007. Joanne covers both offices dealing with Wills and Powers of Attorney together with Domestic Conveyancing at our Winsford office which is managed day-to day by Janet Bossons, Conveyancing Executive.

Joanne says "As the latest of the partner team here at mosshaselhurst I am delighted to be working with such a successful and committed Conveyancing department, in a world of rising house prices and high demand my team and myself look forward to offering you the very best service."

Janet Bossons is a Conveyancing Executive supporting Joanne Charles and is responsible for the day to day running of the Property department at Winsford.

Ken McRae a Senior Solicitor who joined us in November 2001, deals with Residential Conveyancing and oversees the Probate and Wills department from the Northwich office.

Under Ken McRae's supervision, Sue Lever experienced Conveyancing Executive is responsible for the day to day running of the Property department at Northwich.

Julie is a qualified Legal Executive dealing with basic and tax efficient wills.

Katie Bailey Qualified in July 2006 and runs the Family Department at the Winsford office.

David Bannister a Litigation Executive who has been with the firm since 1982 is a specialist in Family Law and runs the Family department at Northwich supported by his experienced assistant Karen Lowndes.

Janet Cross Probate Executive manages the Probate department based at Northwich under Ken McRae's supervision.
