Motoring and Crime - Motoring Offences
We have years of experience in advising and representing clients facing trouble as a result of their use of cars, motorcycles or lorries. We all drive, and partner, Chris Johnson, has been riding motorcycles since the 1960s, so along with the legal knowledge comes the practical knowledge to support it.
Motoring offences are often very technical, and common sense doesn’t always steer you clear of the pitfalls.
What we can say is this:-
- Just because you have been charged or received a requisition, it does not mean that you are guilty.
- If you are before a court for an offence carrying points or obligatory disqualifications, there may on occasion, be special reasons for the normal consequences not to apply.
- If you do find that you are subject to the “Totting Up” provisions, there may be mitigating services allowing you to escape disqualification.
We at Mosshaselhurst can give sound practical advice or representation to help you to deal with the problems you face, and can offer a fixed fee interview to deal with the issues and help you to decide what you should plead and whether you should be represented at court or not.
Free advice and assistance is always available at the police station. Legal aid may be available for court.
