Land Bought

A children's charity in Cheshire has moved a step closer to its dreams becoming reality. The Joshua Tree, based in Northwich has just completed the purchase of land off Dalefords Lane to build a Holiday House and Support Centre in Sandiway.

The purchase of the land was made possible by a local charitable trust and is a huge step forward in the charity’s plans.

Charity founder and CEO, Lynda Hill said: “We are thrilled that the land purchase has gone through. It is in a beautiful area of the Cheshire countryside, and an area I love visiting. We really want to thank our local community for such wonderful continued support. We are now working hard to secure further funding. It would be fantastic if we could start the build next year”.

The Joshua Tree is currently fundraising to build a Holiday House and Support Centre in Cheshire. The House will be open to families from across the North West of England and beyond who have a child undergoing treatment for an immune suppressing illness to have a short holiday.

While the Support Centre will offer educational and emotional support to these families and act as a drop in resource for families in the local community. The charity has recently purchased ? of an acre of land off Dalefords Lane in Sandiway to build the Holiday House and Support Centre.

The Centre will be built in an idyllic position, surrounded by fields and woodland enabling those using the facility to enjoy Cheshire’s natural beauty.

The Joshua Tree has several fundraising events planned for 2012 including a month of coffee mornings in February, its annual Fun Run at Marbury Park on April 21 and a ladies lunch at Nunsmere Hall Hotel on May 18.
